Prozyme

Prozyme is a powerful combination of proteolytic enzymes and glandular support, enhanced by the addition of the bioflavonoid rutin and zinc gluconate.  Proteolytic enzymes support the breakdown of proteins whether in the digestive tract or in the body during tissue repair.

Tableted with: Dicalcium phosphate, Ethyl cellulose, Magnesium stearate, Microcrystalline cellulose, Stearic acid, Silicon dioxide, Coating (polyvinyl alcohol, talc, polyethelene glycol, polysorbate).

Features:

Pancreatin is a pancreatic enzyme that supports protein breakdown.  Taken with meals it supports protein digestion; taken in between meals it can be absorbed as an active enzyme formula.

Papain, extracted from papaya, and bromelain, extracted from pineapple, contain potent proteolytic enzymes.

Rutin is a bioflavonoid with potent antioxidant activity.

Recommendation:   2-4 tablets three to four times daily, or as directed.  Up to 10 tablets three to four times daily may be taken if necessary.  Each enteric coated tablet must be swallowed whole.  Do not chew.  For absorption, proteolytic enzymes should be taken at least 2 hours away from food.

Caution:  Safety has not been established in pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.  Do not take enzymes directly before or after surgery (for at least 1 week).  Do not take if gastritis, duodenal ulcers or gastric ulcers are present.
